How your soft copy data will be handled

The data you provide will be stored securely on a password encrypted laptop used solely for business purposes. The laptop uses a dedicated portable hard drive as a back-up. This is stored in a secure cabinet separately from the laptop. Each copywriting project is stored in a dedicated ‘job bag’ (electronic file) and contains your brief plus any additional assets provided to help complete the project (such as images and design files).

All estimates, quotations and invoices are stored and managed using Intuit QuickBooks – an independent and GDPR compliant service provider.

How your hard copy data will be handled

We endeavour to run a paperless office where possible and avoid printing hard copies for environmental reasons. If a hard copy is necessary e.g. when proofreading a document, and contains personal data, we destroy the hard copy on completion of the project.

Data destruction policy

In accordance with GDPR regulations, data will be deleted six months after the conclusion of our business – when final payment has been made and the project completed. Digital copies of invoices or documents containing contact names and company addresses will be stored digitally for audit purposes for the length of time required by HMRC.

Should you opt-in to join our mailing list, you will only receive information from Cat Copy Creative Limited that markets this business and provides news and information on blogs and articles.
