Tone of Voice Tuesday from Tony’s Chocolonely

It’s been a while but #ToVTuesday is back with this little beauty from Tony’s Chocolonely.

How is there still chocolate left in my house after Easter? I know, it shocks me too. But there’s no better excuse to eat a chocolate bar than to see this genius message from Tony’s.

Not only are they making the most of their wrapper (brands miss a trick when they don’t print on both sides) but every word is crafted to perfection. Committed to making 100% slave-free chocolate, Tony’s tone of voice is playful and positive but still carries a serious message. It’s an authentic tone that’s human and cares. It uses words like ‘chunks’ and ‘nice’ in a chatty way and involves us customers as ‘chocofans’ to back their fair campaign to end exploitation in cocoa.

Treat yourself to a trip around their site and you’ll stay a while. As a ‘serious friend’ you’re given a warm welcome. It’s bursting with personality and copy that entertains with every sentence.

When it comes to ethics, they ‘raise the bar’ (pardon the pun!). We all come in different shapes and sizes. So does every chunk of Tony’s Chocolonely chocolate  – representing in print as well as produce. Deliciously so.

*If you’re new here… I’ve decided to dedicate a day of the week to some of the best tone of voice I’ve spotted out in the wild. These aren’t necessarily tones I’ve written, just ones I admire from a distance and that brighten my day.
