Tone of Voice Tuesday from Sunny Leicester

I love Leicester (Lestah). It’s home.

It’s where Tigers roar and Foxes never quit.

Where Engelbert asked us when? Gary Lineker first kicked a ball and King Richard 3^rd was discovered buried under a car park.

It’s home to Walkers Crisps, Pork Pies and the Golden Mile. To the Jewry Wall, two universities and a National Space Centre.

But more importantly it’s a city that celebrates its communities as much as its history. The culture, cuisine and colloquialisms (we say ‘cob’ instead of roll, ‘mardy’ instead of grumpy and ‘okey’ instead of ice cream). It’s a city where everyone’s welcome. And today’s #ToneOfVoiceTuesday proves exactly that. Shout out to Highcross Leicester for making me smile in a multistorey car park on a hot day*.
