Tone of Voice Tuesday 08.08.23

As someone who loves all things tone of voice, I’ve decided to dedicate a day of the week to some of the best I’ve spotted out in the wild. These aren’t necessarily tones I’ve written, just ones I admire from a distance and that brighten my day.

Rather than food this week, the spotlight’s on this ToV that popped through my letterbox courtesy of the lovely folk @thesparkdotcompany .

Sometimes it’s not the tone of long copy that catches your eye, it’s the little snippets of personality printed on the packaging or on a little thank you note in a parcel. Ethical, eco-friendly and empathetic – this is a tone with a conscience as well as confidence. From ‘Don’t judge me I’m biodegradable’ on the packaging to ‘We hope you’ll love your new things even more knowing that they’re ethically made’, it’s the little touches that made me smile. And knowing every word written helps support others makes this that extra bit special.
