Tone of Voice Tuesdays

As someone who loves all things tone of voice, I’ve decided to dedicate a day of the week to some of the best I’ve spotted out in the wild. Tone of Voice Tuesdays. These aren’t necessarily tones I’ve written, just ones I admire from a distance and that brighten my day.

First up is from the fabulous team at @Stonedpizza. I’ll happily celebrate pizza any day of the week (as I plan to when watching the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film with my son this summer) but the tone of this brand gives you the perfect excuse. With lines like ‘Fuelled by dreams, powered by pizza’ and ‘Honk if you’re hungry’, playfulness and pizza make the perfect combination.

Then there’s the menu itself. Which will make you smile as well as salivate. Describing its Chilli Beef, Jalapeño and Sriracha pizza as one that’s ‘got a kick but the good kind.’ And making standard side dishes stand out ‘Batman has robin. Pizza has garlic bread.’ This was a tone that kickstarted a visit to Cornwall this May…and just like the memories, it’s stayed with me.
